Love, don’t hit!

It’s been known for thousands of years that directive influence on personality development is NOT effective. And strangely, despite this fact, domestic violence against children remains widespread to this day.

Just think about it: such a tragedy befalls those closest and dearest to us in the most precious environment. It’s not uncommon, for example, to see a rather large woman slap a three-year-old girl in public, in full view, or a man yell at a small boy and hit him on the back of the head. And what happens to these children at home, given the sadism and rage that grips these “domestic punishers,” is terrifying to even imagine. The outrage is compounded by the fact that even when someone sees it, they don’t intervene. Unlike cases with adults, for which the police would be immediately called, this is something else—a “disciplinary process.” Can you imagine? In modern society, there are still some valid reasons for legalizing the beating of children! A shocking reversal of what could be perceived as the best for loved ones.

For Children’s Day, I want to address these gaps and turn them into areas of development. I want to reinforce the values of laughter and joy, love and care, which contribute to the development of new geniuses and heroes.

First of all, violence against a child must stop immediately, as if removing a poison from the body. From birth, every person possesses a vital value—dignity. Damaging this dignity is as much a crime as murder.

Next, it would be good to take care of the parents themselves. Everyone knows that spanking is wrong, but sometimes they reach such a point that they lose control, and the consequences have to be justified as “educational.” A compelling example of happy parents will naturally guide the child toward good development. They won’t have to be naughty or capricious. Children’s creativity will delight with its uniqueness and depth of love for mom and dad and the world as a whole. Such joy makes all of humanity kinder and makes them want to celebrate.
